On Wednesday 22 nd February, students of 1º of Bachillerato went on a trip to Gibraltar, and it was amazing.
We had been waiting for this trip for a very long time, so we were very excited about it.
At 8 o’clock we took the bus to Gibraltar, being tired but happier than ever. We stopped in order to have breakfast at a restaurant where huge toasts were served. It wasn’t until 11 o’clock that we arrived at Gibraltar.
Once we arrived, we went to the city hall where we took pictures and organised the gymkhana groups. The gymkhana consisted in answering some questions with the help of Gibraltar residents.
We had until 4:45 p.m. to answer the questions and explore the city with total freedom. Once we answered them, we could wander the city as we liked.
In that time, we visited some of the most famous streets and bought typical English sweets that were delicious. We also had a lot of fun trying to communicate with the locals and we had the chance to practise our English with native English speakers which is something that we don’t have the opportunity to do every day.
It was an incredible experience and exhausting day when we had the opportunity to share experiences with our classmates and friends. We hope that we can repeat this experience any time soon, and if you ever had the opportunity to visit Gibraltar, don’t doubt to do so!
